History of Meyer zu Hartum Stables

The historic site of our barn can be traced back to the 13th century. The oldest and still existing building was constructed in 1843/44.

We have a longstanding tradition of horse breeding/management and have been in the business of horse boarding and training since the 1960s. We are proud that Wolfgang Brinkmann, who won a gold medal at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, boarded and trained his horses at our barn.

Until 2007, the most successful equestrian member of our family, Florian Meyer zu Hartum, trained his string of horses for the top jumping circuits at our stables. The collaboration with leading international show jumpers has significantly influenced our barn and expertise.
